Yes, it's cardboard.

Just saw this ridiculous/butiwantit cardboard deer head for $48 (there are smaller ones) at whotelsthestore.com.

They have a rhino and a moose, too.

Kangaroo Bank

This little friend comes from a website that's new to me, Three Potato Four, and although I have no need for this guy whatsoever, I want him!

Re-doing the bedroom

Rather than try to match my college + husband's furniture, I think I might get this bedspread/quilt from UO:

It has the light blue and black I need, and I am digging this headboard too:

I love this site...

You'll notice I'm quite the fan of ModCloth.com. They have vintage and vintage inspired clothes, shoes, accessories and home decor for very reasonable prices. Right now they have a slew of cute dresses as evidenced below:

Check 'em out if you haven't already!

15 dollars

so a co-worker let me in on the secret of the 15 dollar store where (you guessed it) everything is $15. now there is a lot of stuff that well looks like it costs $15 but im sure there are more than a few gems hidden in the mix. these cute polka dot flats are just one example.

New house, new birdhouse

Part of buying a home was the chance to hang stuff in my very own yard. I am really excited to see what kinds of birds show up to take advantage of one of these mod little abodes. At $19, this red one from Olivebarn would be a good start, or maybe this yellow one from BestNest ($28).

...and here are some absurdly cute shoes...

They are from ShoeMall, and they come in yellow too.

Love 'em!

You need this bag.

I have already purchased my loud bag for summer, but if you haven't, this one comes in several hot colors and is relatively affordable ($74.)

I recommend a loud bag in lime green, red, orange, or pink if it's close to raspberry or fushia. It makes a plain black t-shirt and jeans look put together, and you can wear some plastic jewelry and loud heels that don't match the bag.

If only...

If only my 29-year-old body was still firm, I would most definitely slip on some Vans and kick it around town in this bad boy. This dress is close to perfect, but when asking the question "How bad could it look?" I am honestly terrified of the answer.

Speaking of owls...

Here's another offering from BoyGirlParty.com ($30).

Squirrels? Check. Rock? Check.

Both needs are met with this memo pad from BoyGirlParty.com ($6). They have others with the obligatory kitties, bunnies, owls, etc. Their stuff looks the way Sunny Day Real Estate sounds.

I'm normally not this 'rocker cool' but...

I've been a big fan of Stephen Webster's jewelry for awhile now. Here are the pieces you can buy me.

What's the catch?

I am trying to figure out how lunarloungedesign, a seller on etsy.com, is able to offer a chair like this for $289. And at $109, these tables are available in a variety of colors.

And oh how these are right up my alley...

I'm obsessed with owls these days. These little guys are no exception:

My favorite color

So I'd probably take anything in this shade of blue, but adding helicopters puts this $22 pillow from Etsy over the top.

Reasons to hate exchange rates.

At £116.99, this 7'6" by 5'0" rug from The Rug Seller in the UK is a great deal. It's £60 to ship it here, but the real pain comes with the exchange rate. According to my little currency widget, £176.99 becomes $346.07. But even $350 for a 5x7 rug isn't that painful when it's this cool!

Recycled, buyable.

I have seen Melissa shoes here and there, but these ($48) really got my attention because they're so shiny, but so versatile.

Are you ready? Cuz I don't think you really are.

Marc Jacobs ($270). Feel like I just got the wind knocked outta me.

i love the idea of a house full of original artwork- but my bank account isn't so found of the idea.

these gig posters by strawberry luna are an affordable option.

cheep cheap.

I'd forgotten about the modern furniture online store Eurway until today, and after looking at places like DWR or BoConcepts, the low prices are surprising.

This vase ($25) is such a pretty color, and this magazine rack ($20) is a good deal.

I am wearing orange this summer.

Available at dearly beloved Zappos, these bad boys will be seen at a sultry summer throw-down.

check out these little gems from Joanna Rutter's Etsy shop. love them!

Shirt dress mania continues

I don't know at what point Fossil went from boring brown southwest-inspired "mom bags" to "entirely acceptable and modern Anthropologie rip-offs," but I am totally into it.

i am a sucker for a simple cotton dress and the collar scoop dress by stewart+brown fits the bill perfectly.

I know what I wanna be when I grow up...

I wanna be a potter. These gems are from Etsy. The seller's name is Whitney Smith.

Oh yeah, well I can find cute things too.

Like this: http://www.modcloth.com/store/Modcloth/Womens/Shoes/Love+Birds+Slingbacks

This site is great for dresses, vintage styled clothes and the occasional one of a kind. But these shoes...well, they speak for themselves.

(are you seeing a theme yet?)
